"Um Meia Três is a
beautiful bed and breakfast towards
the top of Rio's famed bohemian
enclave of Santa Teresa. Sue and Bill,
its owners, are staggeringly friendly,
kind, funny, and gracious hosts. I
decided to stay there based on the
Trip Advisor ratings and am so glad
that I did. I have only positive
things to say about them, their bed
and breakfast, its location,
everything. Stay there and be
delighted!"

nothing more then a bed and a shower. Add the fancy pillows, a nice TV, some cliche framed pictures for ambiance
and there is not much difference
between a Marriott or Hyatt. Um Meia
Três is a bed and breakfast - or
pousada as it is called in Brazil -
that will be just as much a part of
your RIo memories as the sunset along
Copacabana, the tram up Sugarloaf and
the breathtaking overlook from
Corcovado. It is an experience, an
adventure - and a lovely one at that.

"We cannot recommend this wonderful
guest house enough. We had a fantastic
3 nights at the end of our 3 week
holiday at Um Meia Três. Bill and Sue
are fantastic, friendly, helpful,
sincere hosts. The guest house is
decorated to a high comfortable
standard. The views are great, the
location super and the breakfast
delicious. Do not hesitate, book... "
